# Terms of Service

By engaging Toronto Quality Wood Flooring for hardwood flooring services or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

## 1\. Services

Toronto Quality Wood Flooring provides hardwood flooring contractor services, including:

-   Hardwood floor refinishing and resanding
-   Historic and heritage wood floor restoration
-   Engineered hardwood sales and installation
-   Hardwood floor repairs (cupping, scratches, board replacement)
-   Custom pattern installation (herringbone and chevron)
-   Laminate flooring sales and installation
-   Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) sales and installation

All services are provided in the Greater Toronto Area. We reserve the right to decline work that falls outside our service area or expertise.

## 2\. Estimates and Quotes

Free in-home estimates are provided across the GTA. Written, fixed-price quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the in-home visit. Quotes are based on the conditions observed during the visit; significant changes discovered after work begins (concealed subfloor damage, structural issues, asbestos abatement requirements) may require quote revisions, which will be discussed with you before proceeding.

## 3\. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). A deposit is typically required to schedule a project; final payment is due upon completion. We accept cash, credit card, e-transfer, and cheque. Late payments may be subject to interest charges as permitted by Ontario law.

## 4\. Scheduling and Cancellation

Project start dates are confirmed in writing. If you need to reschedule a confirmed project, we ask for 48 hours notice when possible. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled start may forfeit a portion of the deposit, depending on the materials already ordered and labour already scheduled.

## 5\. Workmanship Warranty

Installation work carries a 2-year workmanship warranty against installation defects (lifting boards, failed adhesive, finish flaking from prep error). The warranty does not cover damage from moisture issues outside the floor system (slab leaks, plumbing leaks, persistent humidity outside the 35-55% range), normal wear, abuse, or improper maintenance.

## 6\. Manufacturer Warranties

Finish products (Bona Traffic HD, Rubio Monocoat 2C Oil, others) carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we will explain at project quoting. We handle manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf for work we have completed.

## 7\. Acclimation and Humidity

Hardwood flooring is sensitive to indoor relative humidity. We acclimate materials in your home for 3-7 days before install. Post-install, we recommend maintaining indoor relative humidity in the 35-55% range year-round. Damage caused by humidity extremes outside this range is not covered under our workmanship warranty.

## 8\. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the work performed. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We carry standard contractor's liability insurance; certificate of insurance is available on request.

## 9\. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photography, design system, and process descriptions — is the property of Toronto Quality Wood Flooring. Project photographs may be used in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.

## 10\. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

## 11\. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
